PostSubject: Eczema   Thu 27 Jul 2006 - 23:56

Ryan has suffered from bad Eczema this summer (normally not too bad in the winter) however we have just bought some Aloe Propolis Creme off the internet which seems to have cleared this up in just two days.

This might be too early to tell the long term effectiveness of the cream but I will try to keep everyone informed.

Does anyone else have any experience of this cream or other treatments.

I would confirm that I have no link with the product, which can be sourced from a number of places on the internet via a google search.

HI Scott,
My Fiancee has bad eczema and she recently started using a simple 'Aqueous Cream' which has worked wonders on hers. I used to suffer it a lot as a child but you may very well find that as Ryan grows up this will be the case with him too.

I've never used, nor heard, of the cream that you mention. However I used to Bath in Balneum? Have you ever tried that?

Just to update, Ryan's eczema has flared up again, seems worse than before not sure if its anything to do with the creme or not. But stopped using it just in case.

Ryan's Eczema has calmed down, but not sure if its anything to do with stopping the creme or not.

Just using normal Aequos Cream and bathing in Balneum? oil at the moment.

Does anybody else have any experiences or comments they wish to add.

As a child I had eczema and used to use oilatum soap and bath stuff. I now only get it on my hands, but this is worse in winter than summer. Due to it being just my hands its difficult to wear a particular cream unless over night as they all tend to be sticky/oily etc, so I tend to stick to benovate and dermavate which zaps it pretty quickly and I don't need any more than once a day application. Its a prescription only cream which contains cortisone, so is probably not everyone's first choice! But it works for me. Smile
