Does anybody use fixing agents to keep your dentures in place? When i was a lot younger I had to because I couldn't 'train' my dentures to stay in. I can't remember what it was called, but it was this NASTY powder stuff that u had to pour on your dentures then stick it in your mouth. Then when you took them out, it was like a thick paste and took years to clean!!! Laughing

I didn't mean years, though...just a few minutes!

There are new fixing strips available...forgotten the name now, though!

I think the stuff you mean is "Super Wernetts" I used to use it too, not so super when you wanted to clean your teeth in a hurry! I don't use anthing now though.

I am not sure whether that was the name, but it sounds the same. Awful it was!

My son who is 5years old has a top denture that has to be secured with fixadent. He was not keen at first but dosn't seem to mind now although a new top denture is being made at the moment that will hopefully fit better.[b]Can anyone tell me what the going rate from the tooth fairy is these days for a full denture as he will be leaving his old set under his pillow.
