I lost most of my hair while I was about 17. There was a period about six months ago, however, where it seemed to be getting thicker but now its back thin again! Laughing

Its also a killer because I got sunburn on my head last week! OUCH! cyclops

George had blonde/coppery curly hair until he was 2 and a bit and then it all fell out, very quickly! he lost his eyelashes, eyebrows and general baby body hair! his eyelashes grew back when he was 6 and he has eyebrows now , but his hair is now pure white and on his head its so thin and sparse, he is still bald with patches of thin white hair!

He changes his mind as to whether he would like it to grow back or not, but i think this depends on how confidant he is feeling within himself!

I remember when we were first attending the local hospital about his hair loss and the Dr said to me, "does he always wear a hat?" i said "yes", he said "why?" i said "to stop him getting burned!!" honestly some docs lololol!

Actually when George was 3/4 and still in the buggy, if we were in a que shopping and he got bored or didnt want to be there, he would deliberatly whip his hat off so that people would look at him! took me a while to cotton on to what he was doing!! cheeky monkey!

Beth has had the same ammount of hair on her head since she was about 2-3 years oild. It's never grown any more or fallen out.
I had slow growing dry hair as a child and it has only recently started thinning and has small bald patch BUT so has my friends hair and she doesn't have ED! I did go to the dermatologist a while back but it could be ED, it could be stress, it could be age, it could be hormones, it could be that I have 3 kids who knacker me out or something else entirely! Bottom line - they didn't know!So I take vitamins and herbal hair strengthening tablets and try and eat healthily and not drink too many boxes of wine a week!

I too had quite thick dry hair as a child and now have thinning dry hair with a bald patch, I saw dermatologist for ages (pre ED diagnosis) and had biopsies of my scalp using a mini pastry cutter thing! Ouch! Didn't deduce anything. Went for "hair pull" test in London , ouch again!! Also had a hearing test - to rule out some other obscure possibility, still no ED diagnosis! Now my hair refuses to grow past my shoulders, and breaks a lot. Maybe this is due to the same "problem" I have with wine boxes! Or maybe its the 2 kids under 2 and a half...

I have come to the conclusion that we'll never know as the 'experts' don't really know either! Gail Porter should give us all a boost. Except for that look to work you have to have a very pretty, cute face - (think Gail Porter, Sinead Oconnor, Skin fron Skunk Anansie etc) so i'm just going to look like an egg when it all falls out!!!
And I look a womble in a hat (think Orinoco)
So shall get outrageous wig (flamigo pink and stupidly long!)
And celebrate with another box of wine! drunken

Mine is getting worse too, getting a bit hacked off with it, trying to fathom out some sort of Bobby Charlton type comb over thingy and then I see him on Parky and he's abandoned the basket weaving thing and gone for good old bald! don't know many women, appart from those mentioned earlier who have good looks and good shaped heads on their side who carry off baldness that well though! Have you gone and got that long pink wig yet Sarah?! Cos I might need to know where you got it!
