Introduce Yourself!!

As a new member, it would be great to tell others a little bit about yourself, here! So, I'll start.

My name is Mike, and I'm 20 years old. I have ED, and my symptoms include very thin hair, no teeth, no sweat glands, and I recently got diagnosed with Bronchiectasis.

I am a DJ, playing funky house. I am currently training in a call centre in Middlesbrough and look forward to playing an active part in bringing people with ED together.

Hi!!! I dont have ED but this could be a nice place to chat i hope...(does it have to do with a disease most people dont like diseases)

Hello,

My name is Laura and I have 2 sons, the eldest is George, he is 9 years old and has ED and the youngest is James he is 2 years old and as yet isnt showing any signs of EDness!!

George had hair until he was 2 ish and then everything fell out (eyelashes, eyebrows everything!) but he has some sparse regrowth now, his lashes have come back but his head hair is really patchy and thin and not really there at all! George has only 1 adult tooth and 9 milk teeth (which he is hanging on too lol!) he also gets super hot or super cold very very quickly! he also has nosebleeds blocked ears and worries about how others percieve him (although this was never a problem until junior school....and now its a problem!!)

George rocks and is one of two lights in my life (the other being our cat diva hahaha! only joking its his younger brother James lol!)

I am about to start my fine art degree in September and spend my time apart from being mother and housewife extraordinaire ( well the intention is there! Wink

) , painting and making funky tiaras!!

Just had a nose through the other topics and this forum is such a great idea!!

no there has not been any family linkage yet...but I do have bright pink hair...but thats by choice ;-)

I'm Natalie 20 years old and living in Rotterdam.
I have ED too, i have thin hair and can't sweat i'm the only one in the family who have ED.
I'm happy that there are Forums for people with ED.

Hi everyone!

My name is Amie, and I'm new to the forum.

Let me tell you a little about myself....where to begin! I'm 30, I'm originally from Adelaide (South Australia) and at present I live in Leeds (But am moving to London in July for uni!)and I have a wonderful boyfriend called Ian (Who rather conveniently lives near London!) who has Hipohydrotic Ectodemal Dysplasia. We've been together for about 6 months, and it has been the best 6 months of my life! We like to go to gigs, visit historical sites (Well, that's more me than him!) and travel. As well as all the normal stuff that people do (reading etc). I'm a student teacher and will eventually be a lecturer in History if I don't fail Wink

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Diana at eds for the support and information she has given me, she has helped me to understand so much and I can't thank her enough.

Anyway, great to "meet" you all and I look forward to chatting to you all soon!

Welcome to ED Forums!

We've finally reached over 50 members which as well as being great for the members, is a personal achievement for me. As I set up the forum in 2005-06 My aim was to attract at least 50 people! It worked!

Do me a favour amie - pop into your profile and update some information ie location, age and what not!

Just done that! You must have read my mind! I've also added a lovely pic of myself and my (slightly insane!) bf!
